Pack Your Bag
Good to Be Four
games.  Here's one we played:

I packed my grandmother's trunk and in it I put

an apple,
an apple, a banana
an apple, a banana, a carrot
an apple, a banana, a carrot, a donut
an apple, a banana, a carrot, a donut, an egg
etc.

This song is great for the different themes units
that pre-school teachers create.

At Milldam I've used this song to bring along food,
jungle animals, toys, clothes, instruments, etc.

During the space unit we changed the last line of
each verse and added three more to reach all 8
planets in our solar system.  For example:

Let's head to Mercury, that's destination 1.

My 8 year old son, at the time I wrote the lyrics,
brought more "creative" objects when I tested the
song out at home.

Here we go.  Wake your brain.
Pack your bag and get up on my train
What’s the plan for having fun
Let’s bring a ____ and head to station 1.

Here we go.  Wake your brain.
Pack your bag and get up on my train
What’s the plan what should we do
Let’s bring a ____ and to station 2.

And we’re off on an adventure
Up ahead there’s miles of track.
Ring the bell (ding-a-ling, ding-a-ling)
Give a yell (all abourd!!!)
I’ve got the _____, and the _____.
We’ll soon be back

Here we go.  Wake your brain.
Pack your bag and get up on my train
What’s the plan come ride with me
Let’s bring a ____ and to station 3.

Here we go.  Wake your brain.
Pack your bag and get up on my train
What’s the plan and what’s in store
Let’s bring a ____ and head to station 4.

And we’re off on an adventure
Up ahead there’s miles of track.
Give a yell (all abourd!!!)
I’ve got the _____, and the _____
And the _____, and the _____
We’ll soon be back

Here we go.  Wake your brain.
Pack your bag and get up on my train
What’s the plan.  I feel alive
Let’s bring a ____ and head to station 5.

Here we go.  Wake your brain.
Pack your bag and get up on my train
What’s the plan, you’ve reached the end
Thanks for coming on this trip my friend
