Stories and Songs





As a musical storyteller, my goal is to both entertain and connect with my audience. Song writing is an ongoing process. Ideas come from many different sources, at all times of the day, and in many different places. I started my career writing stories about children I knew - family, friends, and others in my community. The stories are works of fiction but they include facts about real people, memories from my own childhood, and thoughts about how I see the world.


Some of my stories turn into songs. Some of these songs make it into my everyday repertoire and are shared with families at various performances. Some of these songs, make it onto albums. Forgot My Oars (2022), Who I Am (2019), On a Roll (2018), and Here to Play (2014) are all commercially available and can be listened to on a number of musical platforms. Wake the Imagination (2013) was produced as a collection of stories.


Finally, some of my stories and songs have yet to be recorded. In the archives you can find them organized by theme in these temporary albums: Discovery in Rhyme, Animal Adventures, Good to be Four, Playing Together, and Time To Choose. Some songs have made their debut on YouTube, as part of a show, or in my living room. They are waiting for their turn to shine.
