Make up a Plan Here To Play |
Make up a Plan has a fast chorus that is fun to sing once you learn the words. As children develop their language skills they learn to speak more quickly and clearly. As a child I remember trying to keep up with John Denver's "Grandma's Feather Bed" or the Charlie Daniel's Band's "Devil Went Down To Georgia." Luke goes to speech therapy to work on breath support with long words and enunciating fast phrases. Tongue twisters are particularly good to practice for him and for anyone who wants to improve his or her communication skills. In November of 2017, I put together a slide show of family and performance photographs from the past 10+ years to this song. It seemed like the right song to use as I started planning for my next album release. You can listen to and watch "Make up a Plan" on You Tube with the link provided above. |
Make up a Plan by Tim Seston Clap your hands five times in a row Reach high in the sky as far as you go Spin around as fast as you can Say hey, time to play, let’s make up a plan. Hey you, you who, what you gonna do? It’s time to begin so please let us all in To the things that most matter to you. You who, hey, hey, what you gonna say? It's time for some fun. Will you be the one To come up and show me the way Would you like to move and to dance? Tap your feet to the beat, 'cause here is your chance Step left then slide to the right Wide eyes, improvise, dancing into the night Hey you, you who, what you gonna do? It’s time to begin so please let us all in To the things that most matter to you You who, hey, hey, what you gonna say? Step up to the mic, tell me what you would like To share with the whole world today Would you like to tell me your name Share with me all the places from where you all came Stand out from the crowd, raise you voice nice and loud Take your fifteen minutes of fame Would you like to come and play ball Grab a glove, feel the love, come one and come all Wind up and throw me a strike Left or right, all your might, pitch whatever you like You who, hey you, what you gonna do? It’s time to begin so please let us all in To the things that most matter to you You who, hey, hey, what you gonna say? This is the end but there's lots to pretend So tell me what you want to play. |
